We continue to talk about our brave colleagues who decided to go all the way - for freedom for all Belarusians. Now, these people are prisoners, but any of us could have been in their place.
Dmitry Ivashkov, 40 years old:
The regime considered the ordinary Belarusian Dmitry Ivashkov extremely dangerous. What else to explain the brutal detention and beating on August 6, before the primary voting day. He was arrested for 15 days. After his release, he was hiding from the authorities.
On September 27, Dmitry Ivashkov was arrested for the second time at the Protest March in Gomel. Since then, he has not been released.
On May 4, “judge” Aleksey Khlyshchenkov, who imagined himself to be the arbiter of destinies, but had no opinion of his own, a pawn, pronounced a verdict: 6 years in a maximum-security colony for participating in “mass riots” and “seizure of buildings.”
In 2020, millions of Belarusians, not only Dmitry Ivashkov, opened their eyes. We woke up and realized that it is essential that our voices should be heard. It is unlikely that you learned this "judge" Khlyshchenkov. Nevertheless, you have made your choice, and the Belarusian people will assess your actions.
Friends, please write to Dmitry Ivashkov right now.
