In her interview with a Russian journalist Irina Shikhman on her popular “Let’s Talk” YouTube channel, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya commented on the news that she was on the wanted list in Belarus and Russia, and described her life in exile in Lithuania where she had to go after the presidential election in Belarus.
“You have been put on the wanted list in Belarus and in Russia. What does it mean to you ?”, asked the journalist.
– I would say, it means nothing to me. The is no justice in Belarus, jail sentences are issued indiscriminately; as our saying goes – if there is a person, there should be a paragraph in the criminal code. The reality has never ever been closer to that. So this news means nothing to me. This is not the news one should worry about, replied Svetlana.
