She was detained with her husband Vadim Zheromsky on September 17 and taken to the GUBOPiK. A search was carried out in her apartment, equipment, personal money, and belongings were seized. Later, Vadim was released.
On February 11, Marfa was charged under Part 3 of Art. 130 (inciting social hostility to the authorities) and Part 2 of Art. 285 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus (participation in a criminal organization). Also, the girl is accused of financing and training to participate in riots. Marfa faces up to 12 years in prison.
In the pre-trial detention center, pressure on her does not stop: they do not transmit correspondence, provide medical assistance, or give visits to relatives. During Marfa's imprisonment, her grandmother and father died.
