Today marks 300 days since the kidnapping of "A Country to Live in" foundation volunteers - Tatyana Ostrovskaya, Anton Stashevsky, and Yulia Syrykh. The kidnapping is vile and cynical because it was committed by those who should protect the law. However, it is no longer news that Belarus lives in the format “not up to the law,” and “law enforcement officers” protect the rights of only one specific person.
Since July 9, 2021 (for almost 10 months already!), our friends have been in the dark, overcrowded cells, do not see their relatives and friends, and are losing their health. What are they suffering for? For solidarity and empathy. In difficult times for the Belarusian people, Tatyana, Anton, and Yulia extended a helping hand to those who especially needed support - political prisoners. Volunteers of the Foundation collected and formed parcels and delivered them to places of detention. And today, they are in jail.
According to our information, the volunteers have not yet explicitly been charged. The so-called power doesn't even bother with it. Why strain and invent if you can keep people behind bars for almost a year without any charges in Belarus? This is the country that a dictator built in a quarter of a century.
How can we fight this?

How can we fight this?
- Support any initiative that will facilitate the stay of political prisoners in captivity
- Help the Ukrainian people in their fight against Russian aggression (this is how we will bring the moment of the liberation of Belarus from the dictator closer)
- Write letters to political prisoners. Then, even if the prison administration does not give the prisoner a message from the outside, we can influence the jailers themselves because letters continue to arrive no matter what.
