At the beginning of the year, authorities labeled the INeedHelpBY initiative as extremist. Despite this, the service creators assessed all risks and decided not to stop operations. However, significant changes were made to the help mechanisms. Thus, INeedHelpBY suspended its operations in Belarus, and will concentrate on aiding individuals who have left the country due to political reasons. This was announced by the initiative on its social media platforms.
"Hundreds of people in Belarus have been detained in connection with receiving food aid. That’s why another important decision was made. The initiative will now direct assistance beyond the country to those who have left due to persecution, primarily related to the 'INeedHelpBY case," the statement reads.
INeedHelpBY also declared its partnership with the "Humanitarian Ambulance Service" , which includes BYSOL, ByHelp, "A Country to Live in", and Dissidentby. The service is already redirecting targeted requests from families of political prisoners who have left the country, to INeedHelpBy. In the new working format, help for families of political prisoners is provided for a period of 6 weeks. To receive food assistance, individuals can reach out to one of the organizations within the Emergency Humanitarian Aid Service" or directly to INeedHelpBy.
Therefore, whether you are in Belarus or beyond its borders, if you need food assistance, contact one of the organizations within the Emergency Humanitarian Aid Service.
If you reside outside Belarus and wish to support INeedHelpBY, you can do so in the following ways:
-

-

-
Purchase T-shirts on the INeedHelpBy website (all profits from sales are used for project needs).
We will not be left without support!
