Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya proposes Volha Zazulinskaya for the position of Representative for Social Policy in the United Transition Cabinet.
Hearings in the Coordination Council will be organized to consider her candidacy.
We suggest recalling Volha's journey after November 2020, when, due to threats, she was forced to leave Belarus.
- In January 2021, Volha Zazulinskaya started working as a copywriter for the "A Country to Live In" foundation.
- In February of the same year, she led the project to help political prisoners.
- In October 2022, Volha Zazulinskaya became the head of the "A Country to Live In" foundation.
At that time, due to a lack of funding, only two people were working in the organization.
Volha rebuilt the Foundation's team.
Since then, the following projects have been launched:
- psychological assistance;
- legal assistance;
- migration support;
- a partnership project on digital security;
- a project for organizing rest for the children of political prisoners;
- assistance in compensating medical expenses for the families of political prisoners.
In addition, the solidarity program "Family Friend" continues.
The "A Country to Live In" foundation now has a strong team. It includes 2 psychologists, 3 lawyers, 2 human rights defenders, an SMM specialist, 2 journalists, a specialist for handling incoming requests, a project manager, and volunteer experts who consistently assist in various directions of the Foundation's activities.
Some of the projects implemented by the Foundation are not funded by donor organizations but are entirely volunteer-driven.
In 2024, permanent partner organizations decided to establish the "Humanitarian Ambulance Service." It includes the BYSOL fund, the "A Country to Live In" foundation, the public campaign ByHelp, and the Dissidentby initiative.
The goal of the new structure is to combine all resources for the implementation of comprehensive humanitarian assistance.
