On March 25 we celebrate the main national holiday of Belarus - Freedom Day

Today, free Belarusians worldwide hold solidarity actions and charity concerts and organize thematic exhibitions.

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya celebrates this day in Poland, where she is on a working trip.

The head of "A Country to Live in" foundation Maria Moroz was invited the day before to the meeting of the people's elected leader of our country with Belarusian initiatives in Warsaw, which help both Belarusians and Ukrainians. Svetlana Tikhanovskaya thanked everyone for their work, support, and solidarity.

This morning, representatives of "A Country to Live in" foundation were present at the Polish Sejm, where the deputies welcomed Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. She spoke about the significance that Freedom Day has for Belarusians and the ongoing pressure on political prisoners inside the country. The Belarusian people, against their will, were drawn by putin and lukashenka into a war in Ukraine, which will have unpredictable consequences for Europe and possibly the whole world. Regardless of their political views, Belarusians do not want this war and strongly oppose the participation of our country in it.

The Polish side expressed solidarity with our people and promised to help both Belarusian refugees in the EU and those fighting the dictatorship inside Belarus.
