"A Country to Live in" foundation helps activists and volunteers who ended up in prison through the fault of the Lukashenko regime, as well as those who were forced to leave the country due to political persecution. We make both one-time (assistance to relocators) and monthly (families of political prisoners) payments of 300 euros.
The main source of payments is donations. We couldn't have done it without your support. Simultaneously, activating the option of regular payments will help more people and draw up a long-term plan to support civil society in Belarus. As of March 30, 322 people were recognized as political prisoners in Belarus. We help families of 40 of them.
Simultaneously, the number of the able-bodied population in Belarus in 2020 amounted to 5 million 127 thousand people. If 97 percent sign up for a regular payment of 1 euro per month, then we will be able to help not 40 but 16 577 families to continue developing our outreach projects, such as:
