According to the charge under Art. 364 of the Criminal Code (violence against the police), Vladimir Malakhovsky, during his arrest at a protest rally, tried to inflict traumatic blows on various parts of the policemen's body, damaged his uniform, and took possession of a police badge.
Judge Tatyana Rodina found the Vitebsk resident guilty and punished him with imprisonment for 3 and a half years in a general regime colony. Malakhovsky did not admit his guilt at the trial.
